Gauliga

Gauliga was the top German football league during Nazi Germany.

The winners of each district, called Gaumeister, gathered and played a playoff to determine the final winner.

Gauliga Austro-Prussian

It was founded in 1933. It was later disbanded in 1944 due to the war.

As can be seen from the map above, the level was lower than other Liga because it was away from the mainland of Germany.

And after the war, most clubs were disbanded.
