The Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) has won four consecutive games in 23 years.

Portland beat Denver Nuggets 135-110 in the 2022-23 NBA home game at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, on the 24th.

Portland, which has won four consecutive games since the opening of the season for the first time in 23 years since 1999, retained its sole lead in the Western Conference. Denver ranked 10th in the same conference with two wins and two losses.

Portland led the team to a come-from-behind victory by scoring 22 points in the third quarter alone, when Anthony Simmons (29 points, including seven three-point shots) was the winner. Damian Lillard also played with 31 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists.

Denver’s Nikola Jokic failed to achieve a triple-double for the third consecutive game, scoring nine points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

Portland turned the tide with a whopping 44 points in the third quarter, which started 55-61.

Portland, which had continued the seesaw game, turned the game around 71-70 with Simmons scoring a three-point shot 7 minutes and 50 seconds before the end of the quarter. Simmons added another three-point shot to the rim 27 seconds later, bringing the atmosphere.

The spirited Portland led 81-70 with two free throws from Gerami Grant, a three-pointer from Simmons and two free throws from Usurf Nuckic, tying Denver’s offense. Since then, Simmons has widened the gap by making a series of three-point shots every time Denver pursues.

Portland certainly got a win in the fourth quarter. Lillard, who received a pass from Simmons with about four minutes left, scored a three-point shot to escape to 124-102, 22 points difference. Portland then scored one by one and won by 25 points.
