Choi Jiman had surgery to remove bone fragments from his right elbow after returning home on the 12th
Choi Jiman (Tampa Bay) will return home on the 12th (Korea Standard Time).
Choi Ji-man’s U.S. agency GSM announced in a press release on the 8th that Choi Ji-man will return to Incheon International Airport on a flight that left Los Angeles at 5:30 p.m. on the 8th.
Choi Ji-man was scheduled to return home in early October, right after the end of the season, but he was selected for the Major League joint team of the “Major League World Tour-Korea Series 2022” and has been preparing for the Korea Series by conducting personal training in the U.S.
A GSM official said, “Choi Ji-man prepared hard in the U.S. by delaying his return schedule for the tournament, but his personal schedule was twisted due to the sudden cancellation of the tournament.”
After returning home, Choi Ji-man is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove bone fragments from his right elbow, which was a problem this season. Choi Ji-man, who first felt pain in this area in mid-May, has endured with painkillers that have delayed surgery for the team. When Choi Ji-man finishes surgery in mid-November, he will start preparing for next season by performing rehabilitation and personal training in Korea.
Since then, Choi Ji-man will move to the U.S. in early January 2023 to start preparing for the season in earnest.
